The Libyan Challenge
The first edition of this multiday event will be run from February
25 - March 4, 2006. The race is a 190K non-stop, self-sufficient
event with a 4 day time limit that takes place in the Akakus, a
fascinating and beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site situated in
the Sahara of southern Libya. Mandatory checkpoints and water points
are situated every 15-20 kilometres and orientation is with a roadbook
and handheld GPS (runner's personal equipment). Full details on

The €1800 Euro race fee includes Paris-Ghat transfers, full
medical and logistical support, pre- and post-race accommodation
and repatriation insurance with Europ Assistance.
Closing date for signing up: 30 November 2005 with €500 deposit.
