The Ultra Trio, the 1300, 1000 and the 700 mile races scheduled
to take place in September 2005 have been cancelled. Next year the
700 will be accompanied by a new shorter race and the 1000 will
be run in 2 or 3 years time.

The site has been inaccesible for about a week. The blog
couldnt be posted but thats been fixed and tonight the updates will
resume.

The Self-Transcendence 3100 mile race will begin in a few
hours and maintainance of the site will be sporadic for the next
2 months. I am very grateful for all the people who send me news
and relevant information and who visit the site regularly. I am
looking for material for the next issue of Multiday Running magazine
in October even though June isnt produced yet, I have the material
ready and waiting So if you are inspired to write about some experience
you would like to share please send it to mail@multidays.com
I will be keeping the 3100
blog going as much as possible and there will be daily
updates on the SCMT site

The start of the Self-Transcendence 3100 mile race in
New York is just a few days away. The entrants and short bios can
be found on the SCMT
site and also daily updates will be available.

Its Fans weekend and there is a tremendous lineup in Minneapolis
for this annual fixture with nearly 90 people signed up for the
24 hour. Results will be posted at the end of this
link on Sunday morning about noon Minneapolis time, June 5th.

Roy Nicholl posted a link to The
Goliath Expedition on the Ultralist and I've included it on
the Journey
Runs page as it is an awesome adventure and I enjoyed reading
his account.
David Horton is setting out on a record attempt on the Pacific Crest
Trail tomorrow, June 4th, we wish him luck on his 2 month journey.

Journey running is in vogue at the moment.
From May 23rd to August 28th of 2005, Brandon
Newlin and Matt Wyble will be traveling on foot across the United
States, from Atlantic City, New Jersey and goes just south of Portland,
Oregon
