Today is the final day of the DL2005.
Rainer Koch looks in a comfortable position yesterday finishing
together with second placed René Strosny with several
hors between them. The results will probably be up on their
site by this evening.

Bruce W. Johnson who crossed the USA this year is
planning to run back to California from Georgia in 2007. The
route is on his website Transconrun.com

the trail head in Maine. Lately beset by bad weather her great

hour results section. Next on the list is the multiday
results section...
Also Bob Brown, last years Run Across America winner,is now
ploughing his way across Europe. He is keeping a journal of
his life on the road - its not easy.

Several races taking place this week and over the
next few days with The Marathon
of Britain, a 175 mile 7 day event wrapping up today.
also finishing today is the La
Grande Traversée des Alpes, the site is in French
and I can't tell if there any updates.
Tomorrow is the Ottawa
International Self Transcendence 24 in Canada.
Sunday the Desert
R.A.T.S begins in Colorado and on Monday, the Deutschland
Race 2005, the race across Germany begins.

Janne Kankaansyrja (pictured below) increased his
lead over Jan Ondrus to win the 2005 Transe Gaule
and 43 year old Hiroko Okiyama, in third place overall, won
the ladies race. All the daily
stage results here.

At 7am on Sunday, September 4th, naval officer and endurance
athlete, LTJG Geoff Weber, will commence a non-stop 24 hour
run to raise money for the Naval Special Warfare Foundation,
an association that supports the families of deceased US Navy
SEALs. He won’t stop running until he’s received
$24,000 in donations or run a full 24 hours, whichever comes
