The Self-Transcendence 24 Hour Race takes place at the Terry Fox Track Ottawa, Ontario in September. Start Time: is usually 8:00 AM.

Race Details

  • Established: 1981
  • Location: Terry Fox Park, on the side of the Rideau river. Free parking
  • Track: 400m tartan surface
  • Ontario Ultra Series: official event for this series
  • Weather: Typically warm days and cool nights; great for running
  • Facilities: Washrooms and showers track-side
  • Accomodation: Camping available by the track, motels in the local area
  • Meals: pre-race supper on the Friday hot and cold food for the duration of the race, post race breakfast
  • Refreshments: Water, electrolytes and a large variety of hot and cold drinks, such as coffee, various teas and sodas
  • Aid Station: 24 hour medical support
  • Distance: Each runner's laps are recorded by a dedicated counter
  • Awards: Trophies for the top 3 men and women, rookie of the year (male and female), Sy Mah trophy, Master's program medals, 3 Ontario *Ultra Series age categories, door prizes
